Google has at last issued a fix after somewhat of a controversy following the release of the Google/Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone, where around 60 percent of European users, those on the GSM 900MHz 2G band, found themselves suffering an odd volume bug where phone volume levels would self adjust randomly.
The release has taken a little longer than most had hoped, with user community MoDaCo even having time to release its own unofficial fix days before. The update itself is focuses only on fixing the volume bug and weighs in at just under 1MB and is being rolled out slowly but surely to affected phones.
For affected users who have not yet received the update, try heading to 'Settings > About phone > System updates' on your device to query for the latest update.
