That ever-expanding Corsair product range we were just talking about? It just got bigger.

As of today, the company is now shipping its Force Series 3 and Force Series GT in a greater number of flavours.

The Force Series 3, reviewed back in June, is now available in 180GB and 480GB capacities priced at £200 and £650, respectively.

Both models continue to use a SandForce SF-2280 processor and tout read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 520MB/s respectively via a SATA 6Gbps interface. Not a bad upgrade for any system, but if you really want to brag, consider Corsair's new top-of-the-line 480GB Force Series GT.

The flaming-red drive utilises the same SandForce SF-2280 SSD Processor but couples it with ONFI synchronous flash memory which, as pointed out in our July review, makes the drive more adept at coping with non-compressible data such as video and music.

The cream of Corsair's crop appears to have speed and capacity to spare, but at £775, it's not one for the faint hearted.

[Update] All three models are now available to order from Scan.co.uk: 180GB Force 3, 480GB Force 3 and 480GB Force GT.
