Corsair has announced worldwide availability of its 180GB and 240GB Force Series GT SSDs.

Joining the 60GB and 120GB SKUs already on offer, Corsair tells us that it's attaching suggested price tags of $379 and $489 US Dollars, respectively, to the capacious 180GB and 240GB flavours.

Featuring a SandForce SF-2280 SSD Processor, SATA 6Gbps connectivity and ONFI synchronous flash memory, the Force Series GT SSDs deliver maximum sequential read speeds of up to 555MB/s. Maximum sequential write speeds come in at up to 525MB/s, and there's also 4KB aligned random write operations per second - rated at up to 85,000 IOPS.

Billed by the company as its fastest, most flexible line of SSDs, the new 180GB and 240GB Force Series GT offerings are apparently targeted towards users who require large amounts, of high-performance storage.

If the 240GB model is available for around $489 in the UK incl tax etc I would definitely consider purchasing.
