4x USB 2.0

Corsair's Flash Voyager drives have enjoyed a long-standing reputation of offering good performance and durability. The latest update to the range gives the former of those attributes a significant boost, with the newest 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models launching with USB 3.0 ports.

Corsair claims the Voyager USB 3.0 drives to be 'up to' four times faster than their USB 2.0 counterparts, which would suggest speeds approaching 120MB/s. Although that's far from the 4.8Gb/s theoretical maximum of USB 3.0, it's nonetheless a significant increase, especially for those frequently moving large files around.

And, of course USB 3.0 devices are natively backwards -compatible with USB 2.0 ports, making these a good fit for environments with older, non-USB 3.0-enabled computers in prevalence.

Other than the addition of USB 3.0, the Voyager 3.0 drives have the same attributes of their predecessors. The outer casing is ruggedized to project the memory inside from the rigours of daily life, and waterproofed to ensure the dropping a drive in a lake - or more likely putting it the washing machine - won't bring on its untimely death.

UK pricing isn't confirmed yet, but in the US the 8GB, 16GB and 32GB Voyager USB3.0 drives will retail at $19.99 (~£12), $29.99 (~£18) and $69.99 (~£43) respectively when they hit stores this month.

Update: Scan is offering the 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB Flash Voyager USB 3.0 drives right now.

Thats a lot more reasonable for USB3, about time it started picking up popularity and prices came down.
I suppose they (all) kept the price differential to clear back stocks of usb2 parts first?
but why are the write speeds so slow vs the read speed ? i think is 60mb/s read and only 25mb/s write
