Intel's 710 Series ‘Lyndonville' SSDs will debut in July, according to the latest reports.

Believed to utilise 25nm MLC-HET NAND flash and SATA 3Gbps connectivity, the 2.5in ‘Lyndonville' SSDs are now said to be heading to market in 100GB, 200GB and 300GB capacities. This is contrary to earlier reports indicating that a 400GB offering, would mark the peak of the 710 Series line-up.

It's not just the 710 Series that's earmarked for July however, but also 1.8in versions of Intel's 320 Series SSDs. These 25nm MLC NAND flash SSDs offerings will retain SATA 3Gbps connectivity, and apparently ship in 80GB, 160GB and 320GB capacities.

I'm completely lost by Intel's SSD's now. The top tier drives are the 7xx, yet the lower 5xx have SATA6.

couldnt agree more. I cant see the point in these multiple differently branded, yet confusingly titled SSD's that intel are now shipping.
