Google's feverish development pace continues, as it has released a beta version of Chrome 12, to the masses.

The company details four additions to the Chrome platform - notably support for hardware-accelerated 3D CSS, plus a host of improved privacy features.

Chrome's Safe Browsing feature now extends protection to warn users, before downloading potentially malicious files. Additionally, users can now delete Flash LSOs (Locally Shared Objects) from directly within Chrome's settings, which is said to give more control over online privacy.

Google adds that it has improved screen reader support to make Chrome even more accessible, but that Chrome 12 also hosts the removal of the Google Gears plug-in, as the it focuses on HTML5.

I wonder if it sorts out the vulnerability that Vupen discovered, which is rumoured to be a flash vuln (but Vupen won't disclose exactly what, unless you are a government and willing to pay for it).
Hopefully they've fixed the problem with facebook messaging not working/showing. That and the Paypal/eBay postage printing system not showing either…

Still gonna stick with Chrome (using Chrome 10 on Windows/Mac and Chromium 11 on Linux) as I prefer it now to Firefox, even with the big improvements in FF4.
V12 was rumoured to have print preview. Does it?

Oh, I wondered why I couldn't find it. Now I know why: it's not there. Thanks for clearing that up. (WHY is it not there!?)
I must admit since FF4 came out I've been using chrome for everything!
