It would be fair to say that we were pretty taken with Gigabyte's GTX 580 Super Overclock (SOC) graphics card, and it certainly appears to be remaining true to its name.

Leaning on the potent cooling potential of LN2, renowned Swedish overclocker - Elmor - pushed the GTX 580 SOC up to 1,550MHz for the GPU, and 5,000MHz effective for the 1,536MB GDDR5. Taken in context, that's up from Gigabyte's factory-overclocked speeds of 855MHz and 4,100MHz effective - and a far cry from stock GTX 580 clock speeds of 772MHz and 4,008MHz effective - for the GPU and GDDR5, respectively.

What came next, is a 3DMark 11 score of 10,458 - setting a single GPU world record and surpassing a score of 10,331, achieved by SF3D with an ASUS GTX 580 SKU.
