Time is critical?
Facebook has overhauled Facebook Pages to lets its users increase engagement, although so far a lot of people aren't happy.
Businesses, bands, people and products can have a Page, which let fans and ordinary Facebook-ers interact with the page holder.
Facebook said that it has responded to users' desires to have better ways to keep up with activity on their Page and has rolled out a set of features to help manage peoples' Page communication.
Facebook said: "Starting today, you can navigate and interact with other areas of Facebook as your Page. This means you can choose to receive notifications about fan activity, Like and comment on other Pages as your Page, and get your own News Feed where you can engage with the latest and most important news from other Pages you like."
Facebook said that Pages is now more similar to its users' profile pages so Pages can now feature recent photos at the top of the space, highlight other Pages it is connected to and the people who manage the Page.
The social network also said it aims to improve relevancy and engagement for Pages and the ‘everyone' filter on the Wall "provides a new way for people to see the most interesting posts first".
Facebook said it plans on adding more functionality to Pages in the next few months but users can upgrade their Page from today.
However, while Facebook undoubtedly thinks its new Pages are something special, many users do not agree and posted negative comments on the Pages information wall.
One users said she ‘hates it' so far."Stop deciding what you think is interesting on my page... I want chronological order back for everyone and to know when someone posts on my page... I don't have time to spend hours on here. It's becoming more time consuming and cumbersome to run my business using my pages," she said.
Proving chronology is the main beef with the new layout, another user posted: "PLEASE!!!! Let us choose to list the wall post in chronological order. This is not good for business. Especially if you have several things going on at once and you need to post multiple posts on your wall. It will confuse clients and wonder why the dates are all over the board. Please fix ASAP."
While another user said: "I'm with everyone on the chronological order!! this is so important for business pages who rely on customer feedback, contests, promotional announcements, and delivering NEW news."
