Noise measurement

The 70mm fan is relatively noisy when idling, and the 2dB difference between the best and worst cards can be clearly heard.

Playing Call of Duty: Black Ops for 10 minutes and the Razor's fan really kicks in when set to the default automatic mode. The pitch isn't pleasant and the fan takes a while to reduce the rpm once you've exited out of the game.

Really bash the GPU, to get an idea of how it performs in a worst-case scenario, and the fan ramps up to 4,750rpm, making it sound similar to the GeForce GTX 480 - a known aural felon.

It's possible to reduce the fan speed by forcing it through the Xtreme Tuner HD bundled application, though doing so directly affects the thermals.

Overclocking

Leaving the fan speed to automatic and increasing the GPU voltage to 1.05V we managed to hit a top speed of 830MHz core and 4,200MHz memory, representing an average overclock for the GTX 460 card. The overclocked frequencies provided an average frame-rate gain of 17.1 per cent in Aliens vs. Predator, Just Cause 2, and Mafia II.
