Samsung has released details of the host of accessories that will accompany the launch of its Galaxy Tab.

The tablet will hit the shops on 1 November and tout a 7 inch screen, 1GHz processor, Android Froyo OS and front-facing camera, but it seems Samsung has taken a leaf out of Apple's book and is maximising the device's accessory potential.

The keyboard dock is the priciest offering at RRP £69.99. It is a full-sized keyboard with a built-in docking station that holds the tablet in a portrait position and also has connections for the charger and audio output. The Carphone Warehouse will be the only supplier until 6 weeks after launch- wrapping up the Christmas shopping period.

A cheaper stand (£39.99) also charges the tablet while in use and includes speaker outlets and mini HDMI socket.

As expected there will also be a wide variety of cases on offer, including a case-come-stand made of leather, slimline leather slip case and D30 silicon/gel case, all costing in the region of £20 to £30.

Portable speakers, headphones, Samsung MicroSDHC cards, a travel adapter, spare USB data cable, TV-Out cable and in-car charger kit will also be available from the launch date and even more accessories are planned.

Simon Stanford, MD of mobile at Samsung UK and Ireland said: "This range of accessories aims to complement the Galaxy Tab's features and improve the experience the device offers - whether that's listening to music, watching video content, playing games or editing documents."

One question - why all this accessories are so horribly expensive?

Keyboard/dock for £70, stand for £40 and a case for upto £30? Jesus, I better get a new job…

Well the whole device seems expensive IMHO… I did assume they wanted to beat the ipad price wise but they just seem to be assuming people will buy it anyway?
Hopefully they are expencive and the extra money Samsuing make they are going to put back into their own support…
