The standalone Aliens vs. Predator benchmark uses DX11 features such as hardware tessellation and advanced shadow sampling to draw and animate everyone's favourite xenomorph.
The benchmark uses advanced
rendering effects that really stress
mid-range GPUs. What we see here is that the default-clocked GTS 450
and HD 5750 are very evenly matched. ASUS' super-high-clocked card
provides an additional 15 per cent performance over the NVIDIA-supplied
reference model, but a vanilla GTX 460 768MB is over 20 per cent
faster still.
