The standalone Aliens vs. Predator benchmark uses DX11 features such as hardware tessellation and advanced shadow sampling to draw and animate everyone's favourite xenomorph.
As expected, Gigabyte's pre-overclocked card is quicker than reference; to the tune of nine per cent at full-HD 1,920x1,080.
A useful bump in the right direction, but not quite enough; a Radeon HD 5870 comes out fractionally ahead at each resolution.
