Acer has plans to become the world's largest vendor of notebooks in the not-too-distant future, but that doesn't mean it's taken the gas off the desktop operation. Remember the Acer Predator, launched over two years' ago? Now the industry giant has finished putting the final touches to a revised Predator that's chock-full of modern goodies.

G7750

The Aspire Predator G7750-U2222, to give its full title, crams in an Intel Core i7 930 CPU, 12GB of DDR3 memory, 1.5TB hard-drive, GeForce GTX 470 GPU, and Windows 7 Home Premium for an outlay of $1,999 (£1,550), backed by a one-year parts-and-labour warranty. All things considered, it doesn't seem like a bad deal for a desktop PC that's pretty potent on all fronts.

Acer provides scope for adding two further GeForce GTX 400-series cards, three additional hard-drives, and an upgrade to a monitor with NVIDIA's 3D Vision technology. Is it man enough for you, HEXUS readers?

I wouldn't say no, but an SSD for primary stoarge and 2TB ‘green’ for long term storage would sweeten the pot a lot.
Fugly. Fugly as sin.
Yeah the chassis is a bit of an eyesore alright lol.
