Introduction

What do you want in a premium graphics card? We bet that most folk would want it to be fast, cool, quiet and overclockable, for starters. NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 470 fills some of that criteria but the reference cooler is found wanting with respect to under-load noise and temperatures.

We're now seeing a steady trickle of non-reference GeForce GTX 400-series cards come to market, and Inno3D reckons its 470 Hawk has all the checkboxes ticked.

Cooled by a massive aftermarket heatsink and ripe for overclocking we examine if this is the best GeForce GTX 470 yet.
