Toshiba has today introduced what it calls the world's first Blu-ray 3D notebook in the form of the Satellite A665.

The 15.6in system - known as the Dynabook TX/98MBL in Asia - offers a 1,366x768 resolution and an all-important 120Hz refresh rate.

Coupled with NVIDIA's 3D Vision technology - consisting of the bundled active-shutter glasses and USB IR receiver - it's able to deliver three-dimensional imagery with an effective refresh rate of 60Hz per eye.

Providing the graphics power is NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 350M GPU, and the Satellite A665 also enjoys an Intel Core i7 740QM processor, 4GB of memory, a 640GB hard disk and of course an integrated Blu-ray optical drive.

Completing the entertainment experience, you'll find built-in Harman Kardon speakers and a pre-installed copy of WinDVD BD.

We'd like to have seen a full-HD display, and the wire attached to NVIDIA's IR receiver is a little messy for our tastes, but for those who can't get enough 3D, Toshiba's Satellite A665 will be available next month. No indication of pricing, but it sure doesn't sound cheap.

They could've at least bundled the IR received into the chassis… even if the extendible one was an optional extra.
What is the point? Without a 1920x1080 resolution (or better) there's no way I'd want to watch a Blu-Ray on it.

Indeed, utter fail tbh
ROFL, the fail is epic.
