Aliens vs. Predator

Scary, scary, scary. Run via DX11 and providing an automated sequence, the game puts the hurt on modern cards. We run it at 2xAA and 8xAF.

Benchmarks

Eking out an obvious lead over the non-overclocked GeForce GTX 480, general performance is pretty close to the Radeon HD 5870.

We'll directly compare the performance of the single-GPU ZOTAC card against an overclocked Radeon HD 5870 2,048MB offering from ASUS.

Resolution ZOTAC GTX 480 AMP!  ASUS HD 5870 MATRIX Percentage better/worse
1,680x1,050 50.7/33 (average/min)
45.9/30
10.5/10
1,920x1,200 40.7/26
37.2/24
9.4/8.3
2,560x1,600 24.7/17
23.1/15
6.9/13.3

The engine's taxing enough to be really smooth at a maximum resolution of 1,680x1,050.
