Corsair has expanded its range of USB memory storage products today, with the release of 32GB and 64GB Flash Survivor GTR SKUs.

Aimed at butter-fingers on one and, heavy-handed on the other end of the scale, the Fremont, CA-based company has touted the combination of toughness and performance, in a seeming match made in heaven.

The drives themselves are enveloped in an aircraft-grade aluminium shell and, endowed with water-resistant properties up to a depth of 200 metres, whilst definitely looking the part too.

All this doesn't mean that the Flash Survivor GTR is any slouch when it comes to performance. Corsair's internal testing found that its implementation of quad-channel technology, delivering read speeds in the region of 34MB/sec, combined with write speeds up to 28MB/sec, outpaced typical high-capacity offerings.

Corsair offers a 10 year helping hand too, in the form of a limited warranty and by all accounts, availability is supposed to be imminent, without any solid indication of price-points.
