Despite going some way toward paying off the debts of its closest rival in one fell swoop, Intel still isn't short of a few bob and can afford to do things that others just wouldn't consider.

Take for example five of Intel's Finnish employees, who, dressed in dashing Intel-blue spandex outfits, have been firing themselves from human cannons in an effort to play the famous Intel tune on a giant set of chimes.

Can't quite picture it? Check out the video footage:

There's surely a bit of CGI work involved, but one has to applaud Intel's commitment to innovation - they've now come up with a new way to fire European employees.

Martti Roth, the Intel field applications engineer who came up with the "Intel Cannonbells" idea, now claims to be working on another Finnish project. "Another way of making the Intel chime! This time even bigger! It's going to be pretty special if we get the insurance", he says.

if that actually happened then i'm really impressed :P
it sounded very similar to the actual “Intel jingle” as well :D
how strange that the bells don't seem to gain any energy from the impacts & swing amplitude increase …:geek:
I don't think anyone is going to take it seriously lol
reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1p2MY_NdSY but not as good
