Looks as though ASUS isn't done creating graphics cards designed to look like Formula One race cars, as the Taiwanese manufacturer has given AMD's mid-range ATI Radeon HD 5750 a makeover, resulting in this:

It's dubbed the ASUS EAH5750 FORMULA, and it's essentially AMD's latest mid-range offering equipped with a rather cool-looking heatsink and fan.

We've yet to see any real-world performance figures, but ASUS reckons its unique cooling solution will generate 107 per cent more airflow, resulting in temperatures some 13 per cent lower than AMD's reference design.

However, despite the ramped-up cooling, the Formula-edition card ships with stock frequencies - 700MHz for the GPU and an effective 4,600MHz for the 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

Should provide ample overclocking headroom, we reckon, but there's no mention of pricing just yet.

Why a Formula 1 look over the top of the HSF & does it have any benefit to cooling (probably not) ? Surely they could come up with some thing better !…I'm not one for looking longingly at my GPU from a case window, once its in the slot cover goes on & power up hoping its not DOA.. Sorry but I think it looks rubbish !…

Bad ASUS, Bad… :)
Yeah I think it looks too gimmicky tbh, a design that produces drastically lower temperatures will automatically look cool not the other way round. :)
presuming air is being sucked in at the front and expelled out under the spoiler i can kind of see what the were trying for. unfortunately i don't think anyone wants a vague f1 car on their hs+f, and especially one that looks like its from the lesser known obese series
