Introduction

Whenever a GPU manufacturer releases a new architecture, as AMD has done with the Radeon HD 5770 this week, the first bunch of cards all tends to be the same.

Often a case of placing a particular partner's sticker on the fan, differentiation is made with respect to price, bundle and availability.

As you would expect, ASUS has released a Radeon HD 5770 1,024MB GPU that looks just the same as any other. The appearance belies the fact that, unlike others, it ships with some nifty performance-enhancing technology.

Known as the EAH5770/2DIS/1GD5, the card boasts Voltage Tweak technology, enabling the end-user to increase GPU voltage to stabilise higher clock-speeds.

We take one for a mini-test and evaluate if it's manifestly better than a regular HD 5770.
