Microsoft has today launched its thinnest ever keyboard, the Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000.
As the name suggests, the keyboard is designed for Bluetooth connectivity and without the need for a transceiver, it makes for a clean, compact appearance.
We're told that at its thickest point, the keyboard is a few millimetres thicker than the supplied AAA battery. In the hope of creating an ergonomic typing experience, the Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000's ultra-light frame makes use of Microsoft's Comfort Curve design - a six-degree curve that claims to "encourage natural wrist posture".
What's particularly useful, we reckon, is that the detached and portable Bluetooth Number Pad can be used as a standalone product - it even comes with a carry case, making it an ideal accessory for numpad-less notebooks.
The keyboard as a set will be reaching stores in October with a price tag of around $89.95 USD. Those hoping for just the Bluetooth Number Pad will be happy to hear that it'll also be sold independently, priced at $44.95 USD.
