When you think of how Microsoft might market the next instalment of its Office software suite, movie trailers don't usually spring to mind.

Nonetheless, that's exactly how the software giant hopes to build up some hype for its next major Office release, and we have to admit, we reckon the trailers are rather good. The latest instalment - complete with "Clippy" nostalgia - can be viewed below, and prior trailers/teasers can be found at office2010themovie.com.

Although the trailers reveal little in regards to the software itself, Microsoft intends to ship a Technical Preview of Office 2010 later this month. Users can register for the limited, invitation-only program by clicking here.

In related news, rumours circulating today suggest that Microsoft will be making a big announcement at its Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans on Monday. We've had no details from Microsoft, but we're led to believe the announcement could involve Office Web - a cloud-based, lightweight version of Microsoft's Office suite that will run from within a web browser.

Wow, some people have too much time and money on their hands!

That said the style no substance it is better than many of the blockbusters, and I did really like the winner of the redmond film vestival!
Saw this earlier on today, thought it was pretty good myself.

If nothing else, it's a very welcome change from some of the utter rubbish Apple and Microsoft thought passed for advertising during the mudslinging contests.
Deleting clippy DID feel good!
