The dual-fan cooler may well be loud when running at full chat but there's no denying that it's effective at removing heat. The under-load temperature is some 17°C lower than on the reference heatsink. It's just a shame that the fans are load when run under the optimised profile and the GPU set to 20 minutes of 3D work.

GeForce GTX 260 MATRIX figures are derived by running the card in power-saving mode. ASUS claims a significant reduction, highlighted on page five, yet our benchmarks show it to draw a touch more juice than a reference GTX 260.
