Premium AMD-red styling won't come cheap

Lian Li has today announced the AMD-branded ARMORSUIT PC-P50R, the latest edition to its line of gamer-orientated chassis.

The ARMORSUIT PC-P50R, pictured below, is a custom-styled derivative of the recently-launched ARMORSUIT PC-P50 and sports both an AMD logo and RED anodised innards to give it that true ATI feel.

Inside the 210mm x 490mm x 490mm mid-tower chassis, users will find a completely tool-less environment - with securing mechanisms for the motherboard, power supply, optical drives, hard drives and graphics cards all designed to function tool-free.

Cooling comes courtesy of a 120mm front intake, two 140mm top-mounted exhausts, and a 120mm rear exhaust, too. There's room for six 5.25in drives and three 3.5in drives, eight PCIe slots and Micro-ATX or ATX motherboards.

All the functionality of the $170 ARMORSUIT PC-P50, then, with the addition of a fiery-red paint job. Looks impressive, but that splash of colour won't come cheap. According to Lian Li, the ARMORSUIT PC-P50R will hit retail at the end of May with a price tag of $240 + VAT. That's a 41 per cent markup for the AMD-branded version.
