The HEXUS Folders continue to do us proud and are still rising up the Folding@home production tables where we're currently ranked as 143rd in the world!
With our aspirations of breaking into the top 100, however, what we could really use is a Folding Farm like this one:
That's 23 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 graphics card working together in aid of Stanford University's Folding@home distributed computing project. The end goal, for those who aren't already aware, is to help understand protein folding and misfolding in the hope of finding cures for many well-known diseases.
Want to do your bit to help? Well, whilst we can't donate 23 NVIDIA GPUs to anyone, we can encourage you to join the HEXUS team (ID #69776) and you can find detailed instructions on how to do so over in our dedicated distributed computing forum.
For a closer look at which teams we're hoping to leapfrog in the coming months, here are the HEXUS.net folding statistics as of April 8th 2009:

Should be able to churn some out and get climbing again :)
Just need Hex to give us a kick again ;)Quote
before i start.. do i need any sort of special client that can use 8 'cores'
and do i need a special GPU one that can use both GPUs?
or maybe even 3 GPUs if i stick the 8800GT back in there?Quote

sod that.
i'm not running SMPs cos they have to run in the taskbar and just get in the way :(
i'll just run 2 of the normal system tray ones.
should get enough from 25% of my CPU and 1 GPU :)Quote
