As you might have expected, BFG is following up its water-cooled take on NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 295 with a H2O edition of the GeForce GTX 285.

The card, pictured below, is hitting stores in North America and Europe starting today, and is expected to carry a price tag of around $500.

As with BFG's previous water-cooled efforts, the card's copper water block has been co-developed with Danger Den and promises to lower GPU temperatures by up to 42°C.

With the lowered operating temperature, BFG has opted to pre-overclock the card, and users will find the core and shaders clocked at 666MHz and 1,512MHz, respectively. That's a subtle bump up from the reference 648MHz and 1,476MHz, but the 1GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at a stock 2,484MHz.

What you have here, though, is the world's fastest single-GPU graphics card pushed a little bit further and cool enough, we feel, for plenty of in-house overclocking. Trouble is, it's almost as expensive as the current graphics champion - the GeForce GTX 295.

Still, if you're interested in a pre-water-cooled solution, this one will be in stores any day now and is backed by BFG's lifetime warranty.
