If you're putting up the cash for a Core i7 build, chances are you won't be skimping on core components such as CPU, motherboard and RAM. On the other hand, if you're itching for some Core i7 goodness and you're struggling to stick to a budget, Patriot Memory reckons its triple-channel Signature Series memory could be just the ticket.

Pictured below, Patriot's value-conscious 1,066MHz DDR3 kits will be available in 3GB or 6GB models, with the option of heatspreaders.

The 240-pin modules offer a CAS Latency of 7 and operate at 1.5V. Sadly, despite promising that these solutions "provide value and high quality" for today's changing economy, Patriot hasn't yet disclosed pricing. Still, they're likely to provide a lot-cost route to tri-channel setups for those of us who just can't afford ultra-high-end kits such as Crucial's Ballistix and Corsair's DOMINATOR GT.
