CeBIT '09 is just weeks away, and Taiwan's Thecus Technology has revealed two of the key new products it'll be bringing to the show.

First up is the N5500, a five-bay NAS that'll act as a successor to the well-received N5200 Pro. It'll feature an Intel Celeron processor and 1GB of DDR2 memory, making for blazing-fast iSCSI performance, says Thecus. As with the feature-packed N7700, the new five-bay unit will provide support for multiple file systems - including XFS, Ext3 and ZFS.

Not tickling your fancy? For the home user, there's the N0204. This little unit is catching our eye as it promises to "break new ground in the value segment". The N0204 will feature just the two drive bays and will support RAID 0,1 and JBOD. Making it appeal to the home environment, Thecus retains most media-centric functionality including iTunes server, media server and photo server.

Little else is known about the N0204, but we wouldn't be surprised to see it powered by Intel's Atom processor. Rest assured, Team HEXUS will get all the details at next month's CeBIT.

That's quite a SAN, but there's no PCs using it ;)
Enjoy the performance, try and feel it

I'm more worried about this
