Having teased all sorts of Wind-branded goodies at CES '09, MSI is today officially kick starting its all-in-one range with the Wind NetOn AP1900.

The entry-level system, pictured below, is the first Wind NetOn to reach the market and claims to be the world's thinnest all-in-one system. Measuring just 35mm in width, it houses all the usual Atom-based innards behind its 18.5in LCD display.

Despite the generous screen size, its resolution is limited to 1,366x768 and - unlike ASUS' alternative Eee Top - there's no touchscreen functionality.

As you may have guessed, inside the somewhat drab-looking enclosure is a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive and onboard Intel GMA950 graphics. Throw in a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a four-in-one card reader, Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi, and you're looking at a Wind netbook housed in an LCD display.

Unlike its netbook brethren - and indeed ASUS' Eee Top - the Wind NetOn does offer a DVD optical drive, and its VESA-compliant mount allows it to be secured to most wall brackets.

We like the idea of low-cost nettops, but this one appears to be just a little too... well, bland. Looking further ahead, though, MSI promises additional 19in models - the AP1901 and AP1902 - and a 22in AE2203 that we believe will be sporting the dual-core Atom 330 processor and possibly discrete graphics, too.

There's no mention of Wind NetOn AP1900 pricing just yet, but it'll need to be fairly cheap to entice most users, we feel.
