Introduction

Corsair01

As memory speeds continue to rise and we begin to look towards kits running at 2GHz - faster than some folks' CPUs - the question of what to buy becomes complicated once you take in speed, capacity, and price. You pay a lot more for cutting-edge RAM, of course.

Triple-channel DDR3 kits are now available from pretty much all manufacturers, usually in 3GB or 6GB packages, and whilst already announcing a 2GHz kit, Corsair's fastest remains some tasty 1,866MHz CL9 RAM.

Got a spare £345 for a 6GB kit? Even if you don't, find out how it performs against a myriad of other RAM on our Core i7 platform.
