Memory bandwidth, latency, and HEXUS.PiFast

Sisoft Sandra 2009 SP2 (15.72) - float buffered

The higher memory speed of the Corsair pack gives it a clear advantage in Sisoft Sandra's synthetic test. and, for what it's worth, we're a little surprised at how little extra bandwidth is reckoned to be available when going from DDR3-1,066 to DDR3-1,333. but that could well be down to latency.

High module clock-speeds and relatively low access time as a result, gives the Corsair DOMINATOR DDR3-1,600 pack another clear lead in the latency stakes.

But pragmatic benchmarking shows that there is very little difference in HEXUS.PiFast results irrespective of memory used.
