Power supplies have become so readily available that it's almost a surprise to walk into Tesco and not find a Tesco Value 500W PSU for Ā£30, on buy one get one free, too.

To make matters worse, the ever-expanding range of power supplies all seem to boast the same features. That's high efficiency, quiet operation, and of course that all-important 80 PLUS certification.

Hoping to get a better idea of what the customer really wants in a power supply, Corsair - manufacturer of the highly-regarded HX-series - is conducting an online survey that asks which features are most important to you.

The simple 10-question survey requires no registration and is about as painless as they come. If you have a moment, feel free to head on over to the survey website to take part, or click on the image below.

What I want from a PSU:
- Good reviews
- History of making PSUs with good reviews

They are the only differentiators that count really.
Silence, stability :)
Noise
Warranty
Price
Features

In that order.
Fundamentally price, but also import are efficiency and reliability.

I’d rather buy 2 Tesco-value PSU’s for £30 over 3 years, than a single £90 PSU

Being modular is also an advantage.

Warranty, “Green effect” and noise do not interest me, seeing as most other components tend to be much more audiable in my experience.
stability
noise
price
features

et voila, my list is complete :D

edit: i'd never noticed hexus vids on corsairs main page before :O
