Products: Rampage 700 Golden Sample Goes Like Hell
Companies: Gainward (All Gainward content)
Gainward is hailing its latest extreme concoction as the world's fastest custom-designed Radeon HD 4870 X2, and it's quite the beast.
The card, pictured below, is dubbed the "Rampage 700 Golden Sample Goes Like Hell" - we kid you not - and features a core frequency of 790MHz and 2GB of GDDR5 running at an effective 3,800MHz.

Despite its association with Hell, the blazing-fast card shouldn't be blazing-hot. It utilises a pair of PWM-controlled fans and four copper heatpipes to help keep it alive. What the above picture tactically hides is that the Rampage 700 Golden Sample Goes Like Hell's cooling solution occupies three PCI slots - making it one of very few three-slot graphics cards.
The tri-size back panel has room for DisplayPort, DVI, HDMI, and VGA connectivity. There's no mention of pricing, but a card hailed as the world's fastest isn't likely to come cheap.
Official press release: Gainward Rampage700 2048MB “Golden Sample” Goes Like Hell -The Fastest Card in the World!

Underneath all the marketing craziness though, it's probably a very good card!Quote
Isn't it just a standard 4870 X2 with an aftermarket cooler that has been clocked up a little? Why not get a watercooled one if you want the "fastest"

you don't see the point here adding aftermarket coolers and such voids warranty and not many will want to even attempt this. So shall we say its the fastest pre overclocked card you can buy for arguments sake?Quote
And why give it a DisplayPort output? I thought that was supposed to be a multimedia interface
Nope its the next step for monitors, look at the new apple cinema display.Quote

Some manufacturers allow you to change cooler without invalidating the warranty... and either way, anyone who is buys a 4870x2 is either extreme enough to be happy changing the cooler, or is rich but n00b enough not to care that this has been overclooked to get 5 extra fps...Quote
