If you're waiting patiently for Intel's Core i7 processors - codename Nehalem - you'll be appreciative of the widespread reports indicating a November 2008 launch.
Intel itself is yet to confirm any specific launch-date plans, but details on its Core i7 model numbers and thousand-unit pricing have slipped online. Should the leaks be accurate, here's what we'll be treated to later this year when the first three chips - codename Bloomfield - arrive on the scene:

Intel is yet to officially confirm model numbers, specifications and pricing, and the above should be taken with a pinch of salt.

There are going to be some good overclocks on the cheaper models, I reckon.
Wern't there reports saying overclocking the i7s is going to be a bitch?
Heavy overclockers should be ok as they'll be used to fiddling with everything, but casual overclockers like me are going to be stumped.Quote

With there now being an i7 9-series I'm not quite sure what naming scheme Intel is going for, having expected a Xeon-esque naming scheme.Quote

so the model numbers could be changed.
Considering this is intels first breed of CPUs using integrated memory controller i would predict that things like overclocking etc may be a little sketchy, I remember hearing that they may be locked from overclocking? the pros will always find a way though.
Still the cost of the low end one looks promising for my after Christmas plans!Quote
