If there was ever any doubt as to which is the fastest single-board graphics card around it should be dispelled by the benchmark results from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. To call the Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB and GeForce GTX 280 as 'close' would be insulting, because the R700 monster is over 70 per cent faster at all resolutions.
