Antec has unveiled the latest addition to its VERIS family of HTPC chassis, the Micro Fusion Remote 350.

The chassis, pictured below, is something of a miniaturised version of Antec's well-received and hugely-popular Fusion. The Micro Fusion Remote 350, as you may have guessed, is designed specifically for those who seek a small and stylish living-room solution.

The case measures just 12cm x 39cm x 41cm and features a built-in IR receiver and an aluminium front bezel that houses an LCD display. It'll come bundled with a small remote control, and iMEDIAN's HD media management software.

On the inside, you'll find Antec's familiar dual-chamber design, separating heat from the motherboard and power supply. There's silicone grommets to help reduce noise, and three 80mm fans to help keep your components cool. As with most HTPC chassis from Antec, it'll include an 80 PLUS certified 350W Earth Watts power supply.

As you'd expect, the Micro Fusion Remote 350's small footprint isn't without compromise. There's room only for micro-ATX motherboards, low-profile cards, a single 5.25in optical drive and a single 3.5in hard-disk drive.

The biggest drawback, however, is likely to be the price-tag. Antec states that the Micro Fusion Remote 350 is available now at a retail cost of $239.95. That, unfortunately, puts the "micro" Fusion at a cost higher than the current fan-favourites; the £70 Antec NSK2480 and £111 Antec Fusion.

This looks like the replacment for Antecs Minuet HTPC chassis'

I cant fit the NSK or Fusion under my TV so this would be ideal. I'm not prepared to pay more for a smaller case though.
Single HDD space not much of an issue these days. Just slap a 1TB drive in there.

I agree that the price is too high though.
