Panda Security has today released the beta version of Panda Internet Security 2009 to test the product before it is officially launched at the end of the summer.

Beta testers that try the solution and send incidents to Panda Security will get a discount when buying the final release version of the product. The beta version is available at: http://www.pandasecurity.com/uk/homeusers/downloads/beta

The key security features of Panda’s 2009 range will focus on protection against malware and identity theft, with a minimal impact on PC performance.

“We have been developing our new product lineup with a constant analysis of the current malware landscape, and we are confident that our new 2009 security product is the most effective security technology available on the market”, explains Dominic Hoskins, Country Manager, Panda Security UK.

According to Panda Security traditional security solutions are no longer enough to protect users’ computers from the increasing number of malware samples created every day.

Panda Internet Security 2009 benefits from “Collective Intelligence”, an innovative security model based on the collection of malware information from the Internet community, and its automated processing at PandaLabs’ data centres.

The new range has been fitted with a powerful version of the “Identity Protect” technology, which uses heuristic analysis to proactively detect any attempt to steal confidential information. Among its new key features is the increased detection of malware with TruPrevent 2.0, designed to protect against unknown malware and attacks exploiting vulnerabilities.

Panda Internet Security 2009 complements its security lineup with a new Anti-Spam engine and Parental Control module. The suite also allows users to make backup copies of important files and information.

The Panda Antivirus Pro 2009 beta is also available for those who require full protection from malware without the requirement of Internet content control or spam filtering.
