Introduction

01

Looking back at our review of the GeForce 9800 GX2, NVIDIA has used the guts of 18-month-old technology to architect the world's fastest desktop graphics card.

Coupling two GeForce 8800 GTS 512-like GPUs on to one card, performance is undeniably good, but shouldn't there also be something new?

The new, insofar as we can call it that, is the ability to run a couple of these £375 cards in SLI, thereby offering four-GPU rendering under Microsoft Vista.

That's exactly what we've done with the Inno3D GeForce 9800 GX2, and we compare performance to two Radeon HD 3870 X2s.

Read on to find out who makes the ultimate graphics sub-system.
