A faster-clocked GeForce 8800 GTS 512 with three-way SLI and HDMI support?

It has been only a matter of weeks since NVIDIA revealed its GeForce 9 series with the launch of its 9800 GX2, a card that we found to be "undeniably the fastest single-card solution available today".

Now, NVIDIA has the next GeForce 9 instalment ready to go in the form of the the 9800 GTX, a direct replacement if you will for the age-old 2006 GeForce 8800 GTX.

Not wasting anytime, Inno3D reveals its iteration and as you'd expect, it claims "the Inno3D GeForce 9800 GTX is undoubtedly the fastest and affordable graphics card in the enthusiast market, achieving an unparallelled gaming experience at extreme HD resolutions".

Inno3D's 9800 GTX features 512MBs of GDDR3 memory and will give you the standard GTX spec of 128 stream processors, a GPU clock of 675MHz, a shader clock of 1,688MHz and a memory clock of 2,200MHz.

It'll come complete with the now customary NVIDIA features; PureVideo HD, HybridPower and 3-way SLI.

No official pricing from Inno3D just yet but with the 9800 GTX expected to land at around £220 for a default-clocked model, expect this one to be just a touch above.

Nvidia are just hitting them out of the park each iteration.

Or rather, just hitting them to the same place in the park, each iteration.
