In a small room at the back of the Thermaltake booth await some little surprises for those of us lucky enough to know the right people. Two concept chassis are being shown to gauge feedback on whether or not the company's on the right track.

They share a similar design and have a gun-metal-&-black colour scheme coupled with plenty of mesh and clever little design touches.

The slightly wider than normal case incorporates a fan behind the CPU area of the motherboard, extracting warm air out through the often-under-used right-hand panel.

In addition, there's a crafty little modular cable management system located behind the motherboard tray, using simple black covers to allow the user to be highly flexible with the inside layout.

Each system case features hot-swap SATA drive bays as standard, along with chamber-design cooling and has space for its PSU down the bottom - something Thermaltake's not offered before, believe it or not.

It will be a while before these cases hit the market but it looks like Thermaltake is going in the right direction. It'll be interesting to see what changes happen after the CeBIT feedback from the lucky few.
