Zalman go after the mainstream with its new GS1000

Zalman has its brand-new GS1000 chassis here on display at CeBIT 2008. The mix of aluminium and plastic is well-finished and whilst appreciating that it's a pre-production sample, we have been advised the price-point should be in the $150USD ballpark.

Featuring the PSU in the bottom chamber and some cable-management that actually works, it looks as though Zalman might be on the money this time round. In addition, the GS1000 also features two hot-swap HDD bays on the front for plenty of quick-access storage.

We will try to have one in the labs as soon as production samples are available.
