Transcend gunning for superior performance

If you're looking for a CompactFlash card and performance matters most, you probably need look no further than Transcend's new 133x CF cards.

Transcend claim these cards "target users who demand superior performance and reliability from their memory cards, including professional photographers, reporters and photography enthusiasts."

They're not kidding either, the 133x CF cards achieve read/write speeds of up to 45MB/16MB per second and are now available in capacities of 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The latter with a suggested retail price of €169 (£125).

£125 ? Where can I buy one of these ?
I can't find an online retailer stocking the 32GB varient yet, but the 16GB is available from Amazon.co.uk if that's of any interest.

Shouldn't be too long before the 32GB surfaces though.
Very nice. Takes the price per GB down to about £4.

I wonder if this will have an effect on the prices of 16GB Sandisk Extreme cards :)
