Introduction

Portable workstation - it's a loaded term, pointing to some kind of powerful desktop replacement PC for 'professional' users. Big and chunky, filled with toys. So, you need to discard any fancy notions about lightweight portable power before considering SavRow's Katana 3D-9. Essentially based on the D900T chassis from the Taiwanese notebook OEM Clevo, this machine is better thought of as a luggable laptop - and one you'd probably not want to take anywhere, except by car.

But why is it no lightweight? Let's take a closer look.
