Prizes and bragging rights on offer

Intel has launched its first Modding Competition which it claims is being used to find out why "YOU Demand Intel".

In order to participate in the competition, all you need to know is video your Intel-processor based mod and upload it to the Intel Modder group on YouTube. The prizes for most "ub3r-l33t" mods are broken down as follows:

  • The Grand Prize Winner receives their choice of any Intel desktop or notebook processor, their choice of Intel motherboard, an Intel backpack stuffed with Marriott Bucks ($200), a gift certificate for Ubisoft ($50) games, speciality coffee bucks ($15), 20 free Wi-Fi sessions and 3 months free broadband TV from AT&T.
  • The Runner Up Winner (1) receives their choice of any Intel desktop or notebook processor and an Intel backpack stuffed with Marriott Bucks ($200), a gift certificate for Ubisoft ($50) games, speciality coffee bucks ($15), 20 free Wi-Fi sessions and 3 months free broadband TV from AT&T.
  • The 3rd Place Winner receives the Intel backpack stuffed with Marriott Bucks ($200), a gift certificate for Ubisoft ($50) games, speciality coffee bucks ($15), 20 free Wi-Fi sessions and 3 months free broadband TV from AT&T.
  • We'll also be giving the first 100 submissions a free T-Shirt.

Now for the bad news. The official competition rules can be viewed by clicking here and yep, you guessed it, we non-US residents aren't eligible for the competition. Oh well, it'll be fun seeing what people can come up with. If you're reading Intel, please do something similar for Europe! You know we make the best mods anyhow. Heck, we'll even challenge those US modders in a face off.

My guess is another 20 minutes until someone uploads an AMD based system
the prize is actually a bit weak as in you can have a processor and motherboard of your choice,

now I appriciate all the extreme based stuff is rather expensive, but I was expecting something with a little more kudos behind it.
yeah cheers intel:angst: , like every other company that takes the mick of UK buyers, How about doing one for AMD or Via, show em they cant have it all their own way.
be real, it would be quite hard to orginise a world wide competition, plus most of the competitions are marketing fronts so this will, I'm sure be a marketing push in the states.
I meant how about doing an AMD or VIA mod and entering the youtube competion
