Budget desktop anyone?

If you thought the sub-1kg Classmate PC for Ā£199 was the perfect Christmas present, then how about a desktop version to go alongside it next year?

ASUS' president of marketing, Jonathan Tseng, states that the company plans on producing and launching a desktop version of the Eee PC in 2008. Though specifications aren't known and price is yet to be determined, Jonathan Tseng was able to confirm that the desktop Eee PC would not include a display. We can expect to see a similar strategy to the portable version; cheap and cheerful!

It hasn't yet been confirmed if the desktop Eee PC will feature Microsoft Windows or continue to run Linux as with the current portable Eee PCs.

Ooooo, like a mac mini but actually worth the money. Sounds great!
Yup be very interesting to see what this comes out like, as a PC in every room / cars etc become more and more of a possibility.
