Following the launch of Windows Live Wave 2 yesterday, the Live team has stepped it up another gear and opened public registration for live.co.uk e-mail addresses. It's always nice to get an e-mail address without a few hundred numbers after your name so if you're after a new address or if like me your current address is inundated with junk, you may want to grab yourself a new one over at the sign up page: http://get.live.com/getlive/overview
If you're already a user of a hotmail.com address and wish to migrate to a live.co.uk address, there's a proposed fresh start solution for that too over at windowslive.com/freshstart. Be warned however, though we appreciate the thought for those wishing to migrate, the process seems to only assist in migrating your e-mail. Anything else such as contacts, gamercard etc need to be moved manually.
But wait, that's not all! In other Windows Live news, the public beta of Windows Live Calendar has also launched and is now available for your testing pleasure over at calendar.live.com. Unfortunately, this first beta is proving to be incredibly basic and as of now provides very limited features. Unless you're a user of all things Live, you'll be wanting to stick to Google Calender.
