Introduction and specifications

The first two cases in the Antec Sonata series had three major selling points - low noise, compact dimensions and a smart, shiny black exterior. As a result, they built up a loyal following, not just from self-builders but also system integrators.

Unsurprisingly, the third model in this series - the Sonata III 500 - is a small mini-tower, so we were keen to see how much extra it provided. We were also curious to know how well it fared when housing our recently-introduced chassis-testing kit, consisting of some of the very latest hardware on the market.
