Samsung shows off tiny projector

HEXUS.CEBITA new projector stuck up on a shelf in the back corner of Samsung's CeBIT stand looked very intriguing, not least because of its tiny footprint. According to the specs, this DLP 0.55in DMD projector, the SP-P300ME, packs a punch far above its diminuitive size - just 127(w) x 95(d) x 51(h)mm.

Claimed specifications for the SP-P300ME are as follows :

  • 0.55" DMD, DLP Technlogy
  • Contrast Ratio : 1000:1
  • Brightness: 25 ANSI Lumen
  • Resolution : SVGA (800x600)
  • Lamp Source : LED (RGB), 10,000hrs
  • Scan Type : Progressive Scan
  • Fan Noise : 25dB (By Samsung reference)
  • Size : 127.2(W) x 94.5(D) x 50.8(H) mm
  • Weight : 700g (Without Battery)
If only it hadn't been tucked away within that glass case, we'd have got some close up shots. Nonetheless we can tell you that the SP-P300ME will fit on a bookshelf with ease and point out that it does do away with a traditional traditional bulb in favour of an LED lamp.
