Brownie points
Intel has used the EMEA ISS 2008 as the event to announce a brand-new channel rewards programme modelled on the air-miles concept.
It seems that its channel partners will earn Intel-miles (my term, not theirs) for doing things like buying Intel products, attending training, participating in promotions and that sort of thing.
It is entirely web-based and partners will be able to see a ‘price list’ of Intel-miles rewarding activities, view their running total and find out what they can spend them on.
Rewards on offer include Intel merchandise, demo units and Formula 1 sponsorship-related activities. There are also more self-indulgent options like travel services, hotel-room upgrades and ‘days out’.
It is officially launching in the UK today and local
Intel channel contacts will be able to provide more details.
