London, UK – 28 August 2008: CPLG is delighted to announce The FA’s licensing agreement with Hi-Grade Computers plc, to produce Official England Product.

In a licensing agreement brokered by CPLG Sport on behalf of The FA, Hi-Grade will produce a range of laptops bearing the England Three Lions crest, which will be available to buy from Q4 2008.

Set up in 1986, Hi-Grade is the UK’s largest manufacturer of laptop computers and continues to win regular plaudits from the computer industry for its high-quality, award-winning products from notebooks to PCs. In 2007, the company won UK’s Best Value laptop 2007 for the hot-pink Notino W5700P laptop, which was the most successful product of all UK mail order Home Shopping Catalogues.

Commenting on the agreement with The FA, Ori Yiassoumis, Marketing Director of Hi-Grade says: “Hi-Grade is always looking to create product desirability and differentiation be it our new breed of super-lightweight 10", Windows-based, laptops that will retail for less than £300, or appealing to England's loyal fan base".

Ori continues "Laptops in general are becoming much more personal items. The licence is another opportunity to create a sought-after laptop, which is also affordable to the younger football-supporting generation."

This licensing agreement is the latest from The FA, as it actively extends the reach of the England brand to a new sector. “This is a desirable product for any England football fan” says Najmie Allette, Licensing Executive at The FA, adding “we strive to give consumers new product choices to show their support for the national football team”.
